All cruise ships were suffering from the same attack from covid-19 in 2020. As history has articulated to us, some cruise ships managed the situation better than others. To cope with the hellish conditions on a cruise ship, my mind was constantly in the present. This is how I survived.
Now, deliberate! Is your covid-19 anxiety warranted? Our minds often signal a YES! Ouch!
That familiar body feeling goes jangly and the mind races. Consequently, the mind cannot concentrate on the now. It is essential to be in the present. Do you have a passion that will put you into a stationary, tranquil environment? This positive flow helps. Is your tranquillity in painting, like mine? I often paint for peace, creativity and direction. Instantly I am transfixed into the moment, quickly and easily. It puts me directly into the mindful present! However, during covid-19 times, the negativity has been immense and to be true to myself, I do have to take triple takes! Stop the negative, go with the positive!
There are no tricks! Tranquillity prevails, I think of deep breathing in and out, counting to four in, and five out. That is a good start. For some people meditating is profoundly wise and giving. Maybe for you it was playing sports or a musical instrument. Perhaps writing or even drawing sketches, training your dog to come when he is called and jump up for food. Whatever delightful intent you have, look for ways to add more of it back into your life.
Covid-19 will be here in the world for years. Buckling your seat belt for a quick flight out of Australia for Europe or elsewhere, is not going to happen! I miss my USA, UK and Swiss connections, I dream of the days of reunions. But I have to be content with the existing present!
We need goals, challenges, and this is our time to be proactive to help ourselves re-join the human race, extend our career, or even study that subject we crave to know more about. Life is a great, hot cup of tea; you can keep on filling it up with joy and expectations.
Being unique human beings, we need tranquillity and acceptance.
During these covid-19 times the challenge is to be in the tranquil! Easier said than done! Please consider seeking medical advice if you fail with simple measures. There could be an underlying reason.
The life ingredients you give yourself definitely position you in a better place. Value yourself, and modify your mindful direction when anxiety hits during these times. Sit and relax, and talk yourself into that positive alternative. Look at the clouds in the sky, how they form pictures. Imagine good, kind images, not the devil! Float out to sea in your mindset, and believe you are going to be rescued by the tranquillity of acceptance. For me, it is my gorgeous Siamese Fighting fish, Fireball! Use your triple imagination!
Remember to eat the right nutricious foods, (try healthy new recipes and pure water). Some sort of physical exercise every day (walking, cycling, swimming and stretching) is the best starter you can have, don’t you agree? If not, think wisely why not.
