During the covid emergency, how many of you binged your way through TV programs, Netflix, books, games or working your way through your wine cellar?
Being a newbie to Netflix I am guilty of binge watching and eating my favourite cheeses with a glass of sumptuous red wine at my side! For me, it was an exciting adventure, never before had I entered this realm of fantasy. I never thought I would actually join the bingers.
Netflix was addictive! Binging on your favourite show might actually kill you. Sitting on your sofa and watching and watching TV is similar to taking a long-haul flight, in some cases giving you deep vein thrombosis. Laugh, but true! Bet you had not thought of that!
Binging with a friend with a glass of red wine became a concern, or did it? Binging on good novels was time consuming. I must confess I have read my own memoir, “Church on a Death Ship” at least five times, always getting something else out of the history of that time. It made me feel grateful to be alive! Yes, I love my own writing and being wrapped up again in that seven months of extreme emotions, including hell! Some would say a miracle experience.
I have come through all sorts of binging. The little weight I did put on has been removed with walking, swimming, stretching and golf. What have been your solutions to losing that unworthy weight? At a mere two kilos, mine was only a fraction of what it could have been, compared to some people! It was still hard to drop!
I would like to hear how you dumped or removed your binge weight.
The other day I saw advertising for liposuction. And did you see the advertisement for freezing your extra weight off? And you can still organise to have your fat reduced by stomach stapling. Have you tried any of these options?
Take care, and make sure to read the science on all weight-reduction methods! I am pleased to say I own discipline.
