Australia remains the lucky country. A historical fact for a grateful country, whose present Prime Minister has stood at the helm to a virtually covid-19 free nation. Australia still has its occasional outbreaks, but is very fortunate.
Now is the time to structure the economy, to get Australians to feel safe in spending their money within the country on travel, investments and local expenditures. Australians have been saving and saving throughout the pandemic, and an explosion of spending is about to happen! That is a positive and shows a good future for the nation. Spend! Don’t feel guilty, you have earnt it!
There are thoughts of establishing a Singapore quarantine gateway, a holiday destination and potential vaccination hub for returning Australians, and naturally, the international students and business travellers would also benefit.
This would assist Australians stranded overseas, boost tourism between Australia and Singapore and there are even considerations for New Zealand to be added, for a triangular bubble. Yes, a three-way bubble, the mind boggles with enthusiasm! When should this happen, maybe by August? It all depends on the jab! Australians cannot count on being vaccinated as previously advised; there is a waiting period because the French and Italians are causing delays for us to receive the vaccination. We helped them in the wars, have they forgotten that we too, are indeed human beings?
Do you know of hidden agendas that have not been discussed in the media?
Currently there is talk about sixteen countries putting the Astra jab on hold due to the blood clot medical issue. Our Prime Minister and the medical experts say we do not have a problem with this vaccination, Australia will be continuing down the path of AstraZeneca for most of the population.
Research indicates that there are 17,000 Australians who get blood clots each year, so a few extra cases are probably no more than random noise. There were no reports of the number of deaths, this does not mean there were none. We have our own destinies, so it is up to us when our time comes to say yes or no. Better to try than die, but that is up to the individual!
This current situation reminds me of my time in isolation, after disembarking from the Costa Victoria, and finally arriving back into Australia from Italy, as noted in my book, “Church on a Death Ship,”. How traumatic! Patience really was a virtue!
Patience is now of the utmost importance!
